This app gives you access to the full power of the WolframAlpha computational knowledge engine.
Xperica - Understanding science through textbooks can be hard. Xperica HD for the iPad brings the experience of touch to various science experiments to foster better understanding. Users can interact with various elements to see how the experiment as a whole reacts. The app is available for download free of cost and comes preloaded with a couple of experiments.

All MLTI iPads will include a significant number of apps provided by Apple as part of the contract with the State of Maine. All of the apps on the page "Apps That Work Everywhere" are part of that group as are these.

Suggested Apps

Here are some general use apps that schools have found to be useful in their iPad deployments. Subject specific apps are not included here.

Dropbox - Dropbox lets you bring all your photos, docs, and videos anywhere and share them easily. Access any file you save to your Dropbox from all your computers, iPhone, iPad and even the Dropbox website!
Book Creator -The simple way to create your own beautiful iBooks, right on the iPad. Read them in iBooks, send them to your friends, or submit them to the iBookstore. Ideal for children’s picture books, photo books, art books, cook books, manuals, textbooks, and the list goes on.
